Sixes are the lowest card (hence the name Six Plus Hold-Em). My daughter and I were watching some of the recent Poker After Dark live stream in which several of the players were discussing Six Plus Hold-Em, a poker variant in which all of the 2's, 3's, 4's, and 5's are removed from the deck. This is going to be a long and winding post regarding Six Plus Hold-Em (also called Short Deck).
